Anna Charlotte Hubert is a photographer from Arnhem, the Netherlands, dividing her time between Arnhem and Rio de Janeiro.
From a young age, she felt the urge to spread her wings and live elsewhere. Moving through different places goes hand in hand with her work as a photographer.
Anna Charlotte transforms her feelings and experiences into images. What she lives becomes a memory. Because she moves a lot, she thinks it is important to turn these memories into something physical that remains. At the same time, her photographs carry a dreamlike atmosphere, transporting you to another place.
It becomes clear that her greatest source of inspiration comes from the world around her—people, music, emotions, energy, and chaos. To create, she needs to feel life. This is one of the reasons she fell in love with Brasil, particularly Rio de Janeiro, where many of her photographs were made. The city's influence can be seen throughout her work in its vivid colours, strong contrasts, and emotion.
